Dive deep into the world of somatic-informed movement!

Next session coming...Spring 2025.

Uncover new possibilities and elevate your practice.

Are you interested in learning more about somatic-informed movement and curious about the benefits of this practice?

Are you an existing or aspiring movement leader looking to enhance your knowledge and learn the art of leading a somatic-informed movement class?

Are you passionate about understanding the connection between the mind and body and eager to learn more alongside like-minded individuals?

This training is designed to equip you with the necessary skills to confidently create movement plans that work for you individually and in a group class setting. It will also empower your own inner healing and personal development.

RISE UP's Foundational Training course offers a thorough introduction to leading a somatic-informed movement class. Throughout the three day training, participants will learn the theoretical basis for this style of movement, the five pillars present in every class, and the art of facilitation.

The RISE UP Foundational Training covers topics such as regulating the nervous system, the body's movement and release of stored energy, somatic tracking, and becoming an effective and knowledgeable leader. Participants will gain a better understanding of embodiment, felt sense, and their window of tolerance, which will help them develop class plans that support their community by connecting to the wisdom of their bodies.

After completing the training, you will have the skills to recognize the RISE UP Foundational Pillars and use them to develop safe and effective somatic-informed movement classes. You will also be able to adjust or enhance foundational exercises and recognize common issues that may occur while teaching or performing them.

Marlo Brausse facilitates the RISE UP Foundational Training and is also an AFLCA fitness instructor, Integrative Somatic Therapy Practitioner, and SPIRITUS Breathwork Facilitator.

“Over the past 15+ years as a mother and an entrepreneur, I’ve experienced many moments of happiness, heartache, success, failure, joy, sorrow, and triumph. I am sure you can relate. Life can look and feel like a roller coaster at times. I’ve had days where I felt on top of the world only to wake up and feel out of touch with my direction and purpose in life. I felt lost in my emotions, mindset, and struggle on those days and in those moments. There were many days when I felt alone.”

“RISE UP is a somatic-informed movement fitness class I developed in 2017 to help me understand everything that I was experiencing and sensing. At that time, developing RISE UP provided me, and many others, with a gateway to access the mind and body through movement group connection.”

“I am excited to take this class to the next level by offering RISE UP Foundational Training to existing and aspiring movement leaders. During this training, I will share the knowledge and experience I have acquired over the last seven years of leading somatic-movement-informed sessions. We will learn, move, heal, and connect as we create and explore within.” ~ Marlo
